Dr. L. Miguel Moreno Iñiguez
With a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Madrid, he specialized in General Psychiatry at the University of Navarre (University Clinic) and obtained a grant from the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation for the completion of a specialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Columbia (in the New York-Presbyterian Hospital and New York State Psychiatric Institute, New York, USA) PhD. in Neuroscience, obtaining a Diploma of Advanced Studies at the University of Navarre and is Doctor in Medicine from the Neuroscience Program of the University Complutense of Madrid, where he was awarded with the Degree of Doctor by the University with the research work which is entitled "The Use of Suggestion in Automatic Behavioral Modification".
Dr. Moreno Iñiguez has collaborated on various journal articles specializing in the field of psychiatry and has published 8 articles in professional journals. He is currently a member of the Medical College of Madrid, the Spanish Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AEPNYA), the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and the American Academy of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychiatry, where he forms part of the Presidential Board for Future Leadership.
After completing his training in the USA in 2006, he returned to Spain and settled in Madrid, where he worked as Adjunct Psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry of the General University Hospital of Gregorio Marañón, forming part of the Investigation Team in the Adolescents Unit of the mentioned Department of Psychiatry. Currently, he is working as an area special cilinician of the Infanta Sofía Hospital (San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid).
Dr. Moreno Íñiguez has clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents, as well as in conducting therapeutic groups for parents and adolescents.
Dra. Mara Parellada
Dr Mara Parellada is a Psychiatrist. After specializing in General Psychiatry in Madrid, she specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Psychiatric Institute of London. Over the last 10 years she has worked with children and adolescents with serious mental health problems, both in hospital and community settings, including general hospitals, outpatient visits and residential juvenile facilities.
Her main areas of clinical work and research are with psychiatric disorders that involve alterations in the neurodevelopment of children, including hyperactivity disorders, psychotic disorders and autism spectrum disorders.
Since October 2000 she has formed part of the team that started the first inpatient unit for adolescents with psychiatric disorders in Madrid. She has worked continuously up until now. Currently working with the Adolescent Unit of the Gregorio Marañón Hospital, she cares for adolescents with severe, complex cases and cases associated with high mortality rates. Working with this unit she develops her research and teaching, while participating in multiple projects. Most of these projects have received public funding. In 2006 she presented her dissertation to the European Doctoral Program at the University of Alcalá. This thesis was awarded as the best dissertation of the year by the Spanish Society of Psychiatry.
Dr. Parellada belongs to the Spanish Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (part of the Scientific Committee), the Spanish Society of Biological Psychiatry, the Spanish Society of Psychiatry and the Spanish Association of Neuropsychiatry. She has published numerous articles in international journals, has participated in numerous national and international congresses, and has recently published the book "Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder. From childhood to adulthood, " from the editor Alianza.
Throughout her years in this profession she has lived in London, in the United Kingdom and in Baltimore, Maryland in the United States, for the study and treatment of psychiatric disorders in children.
She haas recently been hired as an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, at the University Complutense of Madrid.
