Pamplona was the scene for the presentation in Spain of this scale. This is the WFIRS (which stands for the 'Weiss Functional Impairment Rating Scale), which is currently being used and validated in 26 countries in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
The creators explained that the purpose of this scale is "to analyze the consequences of the disorder in those relevant activities of the lives of patients in terms of social and emotional development." "Some of the points that are looked at are acceptance by their peers, emotional aspects and relationships with classmates. That is, everything necessary for their integration into social life, school and family, that worries parents,” they said.
Attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a condition that affects 5% of children and causes difficulties in maintaining attention, hyperactive behavior and / or impulsive actions in important aspects of life in the social and emotional development of children.
